Family Time

TJ is leaving on Monday (25th) to go to Louisanna for 3 weeks for some training. As he was packing, Ty had fun trying on his Dad's Army stuff. He had a real hard time holding his head up.
Alley and Dad are taking a Saturday afternoon nap.
We went to the International Festival here in downtown Fayetteville.
Ty was very tired and not in the mood to have his picture made.

Alley was even more cranky with the crowds. We did not stay very long!

Ty again fell asleep in Alley's car seat, while Alley is cuddled up in her Mose's basket.
Just a lazy day at our house on Friday. Ty, Alley,
and Dixie are all asleep. I enjoyed the quiet time while it lasted.

Our Family at Church

Here we are after church today. Ty went to the nursery and had a great time. He does not get upset anymore when we leave him. Alley went to the service with us. She stayed awake the entire time and did not make a sound the entire time! She was great. I tried to tell her this would be the only time in her life she could get away with sleeping during church, but she didn't listen.
Just another sweet picture of Alley!

A Day at the Fair

We decided to go to the local fair here in Fayetteville on Friday. Ty and TJ are watching 8 year old boys race motorcycles on a dirt track. Ty has not quit talking about it since. Ty could only sit still for so long, so then we had to go check out some of the rides.
Here TJ is helping strap Ty into the Jeep. He chose the Jeep because it is like the one Gramps has.
Ty was old enough to ride some of the rides by himself.
He thought he was big stuff getting to drive the car.
Ty loved riding the rides!

Storytime with Dora

The local library had storytime with Dora the Explorer, which is Ty's favorite TV show. This was Ty's first storytime and he has to learn some of the rules. While the story was being read, Ty kept going on stage and "helping" the lady reading the story. There was a man there from the local newspaper and he took a picture of Ty and his picture was in the paper. Alley slept in Mom's arms through the whole storytime even while she was chasing Ty around.

Ty had so much fun at storytime that by the time we made it home, he was very tired. Usually it takes forever to get him to take a nap, but this day was different. I was feeding Alley and noticed Ty was being very quite (which is usually a bad thing). But right next to me in Alley's carseat was Ty sound asleep. If only it could be this easy everyday.

Playing at the Park

Ty loves playing at the park. We go as often as possible, especially when he has a lot of energy to get rid of.
Mom wants Ty to smile for the camera, but he is too busy.

Ty and Daddy love to play together at the park.

We can't keep Alley awake long enough to take her picture.

Alley's First Month

Daddy is very careful with Alley during her first bath.

Here is Ty posing for the camera.

Alley is wearing the outfit her Aunt Lisa and Mom wore home from the hospital.

Alley is gaining some weight and showing off her belly.

Ty loves posing for pictures with his sister.

Alley is looking forward to meeting all of our friends and family.

Here is Ty with his little sister Alley. Ty loves helping with Alley and holding her. He occasionally gets tired of waiting on us to feed her or change her diaper and insists we put her down and come with him.

Alley is now 4 weeks old. She is doing great and getting some of those precious baby fat rolls. She is sleeping great and usually only gets up about 3am and then 7am. She takes after her mom and loves to sleep. She is staying awake for longer periods of time now and looks around. It is so fun watch her grow.
