April has been a fun and busy month. Everyone is doing great and is healthy and happy. We made a trip to Georgia (9.5 hour trip) to introduce Katelynne to all her family. We have also had some family visit us in Virginia. Ty is doing great and thinks he is grown now that he can ride his bike without training wheels. Alley is a charmer and knows she can get away with anything with her daddy (he is wrapped around her little finger.) Katelynne is a trooper and is so sweet and easygoing. She does so well on all our trips and outings. Below are some of the pictures from the past month.
Easter Egg Hunt at Lee Hall Mansion in Newport News, VA. Alley did not care for the Easter Bunny though.

Alley was a little too timid when it came to going for the eggs, but she got plenty. Ty on the other hand missed out on a lot of eggs because he would not pick up the pink or purple eggs because those were girl eggs.
Our first trip to Busch Gardens (it is only about 3 miles from our house).
We met one of TJ's good friends from Ft. Bragg, Joe and his family. The kids had a lot of fun playing together.
Katelynne enjoyed the day in her stroller.
Lots of rides for the little ones.
Alley was really into this ride. She was pretending to be Popeye, TOOT TOOT.
Granny helped us get a raised bed together and ready to plant some veggies.
I am pretty sure we are the only ones in the neighborhood with their own "garden."

Visiting Aunt Lisa in Georgia

Mamaw came back with us from Georgia to stay for a few weeks. Here we are visiting the Jamestown Settlement. Ty is covering his ears because they are about to shoot a musket.

Alley and Ty had a hard time keeping their head up. This armor was heavy.
They had to touch all the fur.
We got to go to an airshow at Langley Airforce Base (about 30 minutes away.) It was a really neat experience and the kids had a great time.
Watch out Tom Cruise
TJ and his man bag
What a beautiful day!
This Stealth Bomber flew in from Missouri that morning and was then heading down to South Georgia for an air show before heading back to Missouri.
GO ARMY!!!
Katelynne with her first hairbow.
Ty and Alley have been participating in Soccer. They are learning the basics and it has been so funny to watch them. Here Alley is doing her stretches with the rest of the class.
Some interesting stretching techniques going on in this picture.
Alley shaking hands with Coach Chris and getting her water bottle in their last class for the term.
Ty bowling over others to get to the ball. Move it or loose it is what we tell him to say (just kidding).
Way to go Ty!
We brought Ty and Alley's friends, Gabrielle and Marcos to Busch Gardens with us one Saturday (because 3 kids in an amusement park is not enough to keep up with). They were great and it was fun to watch them. I never thought I would have fun just watching from the side while they ride all the rides, but seeing them happy and having fun is awesome. I still want to go without the kids some time and ride the big rides though!
Alley loved the water area. I had to chase her down to get her out of there.
All four kids on the ride meant a five minute break for me and TJ (and Katelynne).
Katie enjoyed the day in her stroller
We visited Ft. Monroe with Mamaw. This is the only Army base with a moat surrounding it. It is also where Jefferson Davis was imprisoned after the Civil War.

What a creepy snake
We were so excited to hear the icecream truck (van) when it came to our neighborhood.
