March 2009

The day we had been waiting for for 9 months finally arrived.
Katelynne Edy Hise was born on March 7, at 12:28 pm. She was a healthy 7lbs. and 9 oz. (the smallest of the three). We thank God for the safe delivery and the blessings He has given us.
TJ takes the best pictures.
Welcome to the world
Nothing is as sweet as a brand new baby.
Ty and Alley were so happy to meet their baby sister.
Aunt Tricia, Michael, Pops, and Gran all drove up the day Katelynne was born.
Pops and Granny are already in love with her.

Ready to go home!

Snug and warm

Aunt Brenda flew up for the weekend and drove back with Gran. We had a great visit.

This is how our family conserves water.
Nice and clean
Uncle Cary came up from Fayetteville, NC to visit and meet Katelynne. We went to Colonial Williamsburg to walk around. Here we are in some kind of armory and TJ and Cary are pretending to inspect the guns but they are really avoiding the camera.
Watching the blacksmith make nails
Here comes the horse drawn carriage

Katelynne and Cary bondingWe went to one of Ty's friend's birthday parties. We had a great time bowling and eating pizza. He had the best birthday cake.
Ty's friend Marcos.

Marcos and Ty getting into the cake before everyone else.
Loving on the baby
Ty turned 5 on March 27th. We invited two of our neighbors to play and eat cake with Ty. Here they are helping Ty open some presents. We had packing peanuts everywhere!
Alley always enjoys a good mess.
Happy Birthday to Ty. Alley was a little confused about singing Happy Birthday and saying the Blessing.
Granny is going to help Ty and Alley grow some vegtables this summer in a raised bed. TJ is getting the bed ready for her visit. He got some help from the kids.
I am not sure how much help the kids actually were.
Ty playing at the park in our neighborhood.
She is growing everyday.
Alley helping me put on Katelynne's shoes.
They already look alike.

February 2009

During the month of February we spent most of our time preparing for our newest addition. Granny came up to help out and keep Ty and Alley when we go to the hospital.
TJ had a work trip to DC and we went up to visit and sightsee.

Cold, rainy, very pregnant, and tired

Alley getting her first official haircut
She was so still and serious.

Ty got a haircut too.
So cool!!!
We had one good snow this winter.
It takes a lot of work to bundle up. I am glad we don't have to do that too often.

Ready to go again.

January 2009

January was very cold in VA so we spent a lot of time inside.
We spent a lot of time unpacking and getting the house in order.

Alley thought coloring all over herself with markers was a good idea.
She is only crying because she is in timeout.
Gran and Gramps came up for a visit. We took them to the
Virginia Living Musuem.
The turtle really liked Ty.
Ty liked touching all the sea animals. Alley would not have anything to do with them.
Two headed turtle.
Not sure what the problem is here.
