October 2008

In October we made a trip to Georgia to visit family.
TJ also had a chance to go to a Georgia Football game.
Ty and Alley had a chance to spend some time with
their cousins.

Owen wasn't sure about standing next to the scarecrow.

Below are some pictures of family life at Ft. Rucker. There were lots of Fall activities going on.
This is the first time we let Ty ride the school bus. I cried the whole way back to the house. It is hard to let them grow up.
Alley liked walking to the bus stop too.
He had been begging for weeks (really since the first week of school) to ride the bus. It took me until mid October to let him. There were only PreK-1 graders on the bus but still....

I got to go with Alley on a class field trip to the Commissary. She loved her "school" and was one of the youngest in her class so she was babied just a bit.

The Commissary was across the street from Alley's school so she got to ride in the wagon there.
The rest of the class

The manager showed the kids lots of things and they all got to pick out a pumpkin to take home.

The end of October brings Halloween, but more importantly is the Georgia/
Flordia game. We met TJ's family in Jacksonville, FL and got the chance
to meet Coach Dooley at a book signing.
